BidCheck ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information when you use the BidCheck Service.

By using BidCheck, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you provide through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Uploaded documents: To provide analysis, you upload bid specification documents and scope-of-work files. These documents are processed to generate compliance reports and are stored associated with your account.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, analyses run, and timestamps. This is used to improve the product and provide usage-based billing.

Payment information: Payment details (credit card numbers, billing address) are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. BidCheck does not store full payment card details.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process bid documents and generate compliance analysis reports
• Manage your account and subscription billing
• Send transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts, important notices)
• Improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified usage analytics
• Respond to support requests and inquiries

We do not sell your personal information or uploaded documents to third parties. We do not use your uploaded documents to train AI models without your explicit consent.

BidCheck uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Clerk — User authentication and session management. Clerk Privacy Policy
• Neon — Cloud database storage for your account data, projects, and analysis results. Neon Privacy Policy
• Anthropic — AI language model provider used to generate compliance analysis. Documents you upload are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• Stripe — Payment processing for subscription billing. Stripe Privacy Policy

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We encourage you to review their policies.

We retain your account information and uploaded documents for as long as your account is active. Analysis results are stored indefinitely so you can access your project history.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and uploaded documents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or financial compliance purposes.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls on our database, and regular security reviews.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion — Request deletion of your personal information and associated data
• Portability — Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — Object to certain types of processing
